RSA Nusa Waluya II officially operates in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan

The existence of the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan received full support and appreciation from the Kotabaru Regency Government.

“On behalf of the Regency Government, I appreciate and give high appreciation to doctorSHARE (Dokter Peduli Foundation) for its dedication in providing medical services throughout Indonesia including Kotabaru,” said Kotabaru Deputy Regent Andi Rudi Latif, when attending the launching of free services from the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital at the Fish Landing Pier (PPI), Thursday (7/10/2021).

The Kotabaru Regency Government, he continued, will always provide the necessary support to the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital so that it can carry out this activity well and smoothly so that what is the purpose of its existence in Kotabaru Regency can be achieved well.

Andi Rudi Latif hopes that the community can make the best use of the presence of this Floating Hospital, so that the free health services provided can have a positive impact on improving the health status of the people in Kotabaru Regency, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic as it is today.

“To the doctors and health workers at the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital, I congratulate them on their duty in providing the best service for the people of Kotabaru Regency,” he said.

South Kalimantan Governor H. Sahbirin Noor when opening the launching of the free service of the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital said, this Floating Hospital is an example for the Kotabaru Government to be able to make a Floating Hospital in the future, so that it can improve health services for people in the archipelago.

“Kotabaru as an area consisting of a cluster of islands is very suitable for the concept of this Floating Hospital,” he said.

The governor also hopes that medical and non-medical personnel at the Floating Hospital can synergize with the local government, so that health services can be optimized.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Floating Hospital (RSA) Nusa Waluya II, Dr. Ivan Reynaldo Lubis, explained that the free health services provided include general clinic, MCH clinic, dental clinic, emergency room, hospitalization and surgery as well as the handling of ENT, surgery, heart, pediatric and OBGYN specialists.

“Starting today we operate with a service schedule from Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 15.00 WITA at PPI Pier, Kotabaru, South Kalimantan. We will provide services for three months in Kotabaru until December 17, 2021,” he explained.

Please note, the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital is the third hospital from doctorSHARE which is the first barge-shaped hospital in the world. This floating hospital focuses on medical services in the Indonesian archipelago.
