August 14, 2021, became a historic moment for this lovebirds. Yes, they are the couple Muhammad Saflar and Miftakiah, who gave birth to their first child at the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital, while conducting medical services for three months in Tanjung Batu, Riau Islands.

Initially, the couple only wanted to check their pregnancy at the Nusa Waluya II Floating Hospital, but from the results of the examination carried out by the volunteer obgyn doctor, it was found that the baby’s legs were located above, so the delivery action that had to be carried out was a caesarean section.

Considering the limited health facilities in the area and the condition of the pregnancy that requires fast action, the family finally decided to do the delivery at the RSA. After about an hour in the operating room, the 2.9 kilogram baby boy was born safely.

“I was panicking, not knowing what to do when the doctor said my wife had to have a caesarean. Fortunately, there is a floating hospital,” said Muhammad emotionally.

“Now we are a very happy family. I don’t know how to express this gratitude,” added Muhammad.

The couple then named their baby “Sauki Rabbani Waluyo”.

“Sauki Rabbani means the desire to always be in the way of Allah, while Waluyo is taken from the name of the Floating Hospital where he was born into the earth,” explained Muhammad beaming.

Assisting the delivery process, providing education and assistance in the first 1000 days of life, as well as other interventions around Maternal and Child Health (MCH) are indeed the focus of doctorSHARE in 2021.

Sauki Rabbani Waluyo! Hopefully one day he will become a child who is devoted to the country and nation and of course devoted to his parents.
